Due to multiple factors, we have decided to suspend the shipping of all live fish. The safety of the animals as well as your satisfaction are our top priorities. Overnight shipping has become too expensive and unreliable. Couple that with the onset of winter and the problems increase. Thank you for your understanding.
Shipping live animals may seem complicated, but Something Fishy has been shipping animals for years. Our shipping expertise allows us to ensure your animals will arrive safely.
Once your order is submitted, we’ll ensure the animals are healthy and look beautiful before confirming the order. On the day of shipping, we will pack the animal with care, utilizing insulated containers with temperature controlling packs. These packs are at no extra cost to you.
Animals are then double-checked by our crew for correct species, health, behavior, and appearance before packaging them up. This ensures you are getting a beautiful and healthy animal which will arrive safely.
Shipping
You can request which day your animal(s) will ship, your package will arrive the following day. However, it is incumbent upon you to request a specific delivery day, if you so choose.
If you do not contact us for a specific shipping day, we will ship your order on the next open regular shipping day.
We will only ship to your home when weather in route is 40-90 degrees. Keep in mind, the route includes our location in Orlando, FL, the shipping hub, and finally, your home address.
Orders generally arrive by 12:00 PM
Typically, the overnight delivery time is before 12:00 PM (your local time) in most areas, but some areas may not be guaranteed to arrive until the end of day, which is usually late afternoon or early evening.
We ship orders Monday-Thursday. Orders placed before 12pm EST may be eligible for same day shipping, schedule permitting. Orders placed after 12pm are typically shipped the following day. Orders made after 12pm EST Thursday through Sunday will be shipped the following Monday. We monitor weather and flight patterns to guarantee a safe arrival. We reserve the right to hold shipments at our discretion. All shipments are weather and time permitting. If you need to change your arrival day, email sales@somethingfishytropicals.com so we can coordinate with you.
Live Arrival Guarantee
100% Live Arrival Guaranteed. We guarantee that our fish, coral, invertebrates, and plants will be alive and healthy upon arrival. You must be home to receive the package.
We cannot guarantee any shipment that has an address change or re-route, make sure you input the shipping address correctly.

In the unlikely event you should have any issues with your order, they must be reported within 1 hour of delivery confirmation. Animals that are Dead on Arrival (DOA) must be reported within 1 hour of delivery. Clear photographic evidence will be required for all claims. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us. Failure to notify us via email within the time frame listed above will void all guarantees.
ADDITIONAL INFO
Shipping or Freight charges are non-refundable. Something Fishy, LLC is not responsible for shipping charges on the replacement of animals, and there are no cash refunds of any kind, store credit only. Something Fishy, LLC is not responsible for shipping delays resulting from the carrier.

How much is shipping?
- Live animal/coral overnight shipping is done by region. This will be automatically calculated by the state you live in, upon checkout. Flat rate shipping per region:
- Southern States $49.99
- Midwest States $59.99
- Northern States $59.99
- Western States $79.99
These items will be shipped via Fed Ex/UPS. There are NO extra charges for boxes, heat/cold pack, etc.
Free overnight shipping on all coral orders over $349.
Live plant only orders shipping is a flat rate of $19.99 in the continental United States. Shipping is free for all dry goods orders over $99.99. These items will be shipped via USPS.
Dry goods only orders shipping is a flat rate of $19.99 in the continental United States. Shipping is free for all dry goods orders over $99.99. These items will be shipped via USPS.
If fish/coral orders are combined with live plants and or dry goods, the order will default to the overnight shipping charge for your region.
When will I receive a tracking Number?
Tracking numbers are sent the same day we ship your order.
