Refund policy
Returns & DOA Guarantee:
We guarantee all of our items to arrive alive. If, for some reason, an item does not arrive alive, you must contact us via email, with detailed pictures of the item within one hour of the package's arrival. Opening the bag ends the arrival period and we cannot provide claims for live animals without proof of the issue prior to opening the bag. If you are not present to sign for the package on the first delivery attempt, this guarantee becomes void. If, in our opinion, the item is deemed to be deceased or defective, a credit will be applied to your account. We will award store credit for all DOA fish/coral/plants/invertebrates - shipping will not be credited. Returns are not permitted.
We do everything we can to get your live animals/plants to you rapidly and properly packaged. Most shipments reach their destinations without any trouble. Unfortunately, unexpected delays during shipping may occur. We package our animals very carefully, with the intention of them surviving for several days in their box. Once the package is sent, it is out of our direct care. We have no control over the shipping companies and cannot guarantee when the fish will arrive. We reserve the right to refuse or delay shipping live animals due to inclement weather, interruptions in-service, high-volume holidays. If this should occur, we will communicate the issue directly with you and provide an acceptable solution. Our utmost concern is the well-being of the live animals/plants and getting them to you safely and rapidly.
Order cancellations:
We charge 10% of the total amount of the order, shipping excluded, as a cancellation fee. All orders placed are automatically processed by our secure merchant processor and sent to our shipping department upon submission. This causes us to incur irreversible fees from payment providers and additional work by our staff.
Refunds:
Credit given for DOA live animals/plants or any other reason, will be applied as credit towards a future purchase. Shipping is not included.
Refunds requested that are of no fault of Something Fishy will be subject to a 10% transaction fee. This includes payments received prior to confirming an order and cancellation requests, among other reasons.
